Article Processing Charges (APC)

  1. Article processing charges (APC)

As an open-access journal, all published articles are freely accessible to readers without subscription fees. The IJSSE does not charge for article submission, editorial processing, or peer review.

Upon acceptance after peer review, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $400 applies. The APC covers the costs of copy-editing, publishing, content deposit, and archiving.

There are no charges for rejected articles, no submission charges, and no surcharges based on article length, figures, or supplementary data. Some items (editorials, corrections, addenda, retractions, comments) are published free of charge.

  1. Payment methods

Payments are facilitated through PayPal and bank transfer.

  1. Discount and waiver policy

GAERPSY Publishing offers APC discounts and waivers to support authors experiencing financial difficulties:

  • Financial hardship: Authors experiencing genuine financial challenges may apply for a partial or full APC waiver.
  • Low and middle-income countries: Authors in countries classified by the World Bank as low- or lower-middle-income may be eligible.
  • Students and early career researchers: Postgraduate students and early career researchers without sufficient funding may be considered.
  • Special cases: The editorial board may grant waivers in exceptional circumstances at its discretion.

Requests must be submitted to Publisher@gaerpsy.com and copied to Editor-ijsse@gaerpsy.com. Waivers do not influence editorial decisions.
