Plagiarism Policy

The IJSPSY and GAERPSY Publishing maintain a strict policy against plagiarism. All submissions undergo originality verification through two methods: Turnitin plagiarism detection software and manual reviewer checks.

  1. Plagiarism checking criteria
  • Above 90% originality: The manuscript proceeds to the review stage.
  • 80%–90% originality: Authors are required to verify citation accuracy and references before proceeding.
  • Below 80% originality: The manuscript is rejected.

Plagiarism percentages are determined by software and manually reviewed.

  1. Recommendations for avoiding plagiarism
  • Use quotation marks for exact wording from sources.
  • Maintain the integrity of quoted text within the sentence context.
  • Use single quotation marks within a quote.
  • Indicate omitted parts of quotes with ellipses.
  • Bracket any added words.
  • Minimise direct quotations by paraphrasing or summarising using original wording.
  • Obtain copyright permission to reproduce illustrations, tables, or figures from other sources.
  1. Self-plagiarism

Each manuscript retains copyright upon publication. Editors and reviewers consider self-plagiarism unethical. Authors must refrain from repurposing their own previously published work without proper permission. Options include using quotation marks for brief excerpts and providing appropriate citations.
