Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

The IJSPSY is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical publishing in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) core practices and the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity.

  1. For Editors

Editors adhere to the principles of independence and integrity in the decision-making process. All manuscripts are subject to rigorous peer review. Editors shall not participate in the processing of articles in which they have a conflict of interest. The editorial decision-making process is based exclusively on the merit and relevance of the submitted content, without prejudice towards the authors, their affiliations, or their origin.

  1. For Authors

Authorship: At the time of submission, the list of authors must include all eligible authors in the correct order, with consensus from all co-authors.

Originality: Manuscripts must be original and must not have been previously published. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is not allowed.

Plagiarism: Authors must correctly cite all sources. Self-plagiarism is considered unethical.

Conflicts of Interest: All potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed, including financial, personal, political, or collaborative relationships.

Data Sharing: The IJSPSY encourages authors to share research data to enhance transparency, reproducibility, and collaboration.

  1. For Reviewers

Peer reviews are conducted as a double-blind process. Reviewers must:

  • Declare any conflicts of interest.
  • Keep all reviewed articles and their contents strictly confidential.
  • Provide objective reviews and avoid personal criticism.
  • Respond promptly and notify the journal if unable to participate.
  1. Ethical Oversight

Consent to Publication: All co-authors must consent to publication. Data and information must be appropriately licensed.

Vulnerable Populations: Research involving vulnerable populations, such as children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, must obtain informed consent and safeguard participants’ rights, privacy, and confidentiality.

Animal Research: Researchers must comply with ethical and moral standards and implement the 3R principles (Reduce, Refine, Replace).

Human Subjects: Authors must adhere to ethical standards, provide detailed trial plans, and ensure that informed consent is obtained.

  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy

AI resources cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. If AI tools are used in research, authors must clearly disclose this in the "AI Usage Declaration" section, specifying the type of software and its purpose. It is not necessary to declare AI use for typographical correction or writing enhancement only. Reviewers are prohibited from using AI in the manuscript review process.

  1. Retractions and Corrections

The IJSPSY may retract a publication if findings are unreliable due to misconduct or honest error, if the work has been previously published without proper acknowledgement, if it constitutes plagiarism, or if it reports unethical research. Corrections may be issued for errors that do not constitute misconduct.
